What we do
Micro-soldering under microscope: rebuild the pads using jumper wire and UV cure, then mount a new OEM connector. We charge +$49 for the surgical upgrade on pay-shipping orders; pay-full customers get it included.

The fix
- Open the ROG Ally, remove the motherboard assembly.
- Desolder the failed HDMI port with hot-air at the bench.
- Clean pads, reflow or replace pads if lifted.
- Solder a new OEM-spec HDMI connector.
- Test on a known-good 4K display, verify hot-plug, CEC, HDCP, 4K@120Hz.
- Reassemble, ship back with tracking.

Do you wipe my data?
We only touch the HDMI port. Your data, accounts, and saves stay intact. The device never powers up to a screen for normal logic-board work.
What if the symptom comes back?
